How to plant

1. Sowing seeds
Before planting, soak the seeds in warm water for about 2 days, and rub them gently with your hands to break the waxy layer on the outside of the seeds. Then plant them in the soil, covering them with about 1-2 cm of soil.

2. Propagation by division
It can be done every spring after germination, dig out the seedlings with part of the root system, and plant them directly. It belongs to the growing period in the first year, and can be harvested in the second year and beyond.

3. Lighting management
When planting asparagus, it is best to choose a location with sufficient sunlight. Asparagus is a heat-resistant and cold-resistant vegetable. It can grow well in an environment of about 40 degrees in summer and can tolerate low temperatures of minus 30 degrees in winter.

4. Watering management
Asparagus has a relatively developed root system, smaller leaves, and less water transpiration, so it is more tolerant to drought. We don't need to water often. However, during the harvest period, it must be kept properly moist, so that the young stems that grow out will grow strong and full and taste better.
5. Daily management
Asparagus has few pests and diseases. After entering winter, the above-ground part will wither. We can just cut off the above-ground part, and it will sprout on its own in the next spring.
