🌩️Emerald Cloud Grass has a unique plant shape, with cloud-like feathery leaves, green all year round, and blue-green fluorescence. It is elegant and beautiful. It is a small foliage plant. The potted plant is suitable for display on desks, windowsills, etc.
Planting requirements🌱
Soil: Slightly acidic or acidic soil. The basin soil should be loose, water-permeable and rich in humus. It can be mixed with equal amounts of leaf humus soil or peat, loam and plain sand.
Moisture: It likes a moist soil environment and is not drought tolerant. It needs regular watering every day [1]. Frequently spray water with a sprayer to keep the leaf surface moist, which helps to grow more vigorously. Reduce watering in winter and keep it slightly moist.
Fertilization: Fertilize once every half month during the growing season. Pay attention to the combination of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. In order to prevent branches and vines from growing too long, the application of nitrogen fertilizer must be controlled. Stop applying fertilizer in winter.
Temperature: Likes warmth, grows well at around 20℃, overwintering temperature is 5℃. The ideal growth temperature is 10-15℃ at night and 21-26℃ during the day;
Light: Prefers semi-shade. Pay attention to shade in midsummer and avoid exposure to the sun, otherwise the plant will easily scorch and die.
Pruning: Prune the plants once in spring in conjunction with repotting, to remove aging branches and vines, and to shorten branches that are too long.
Potting and repotting: For planting, you can choose flower pots with a diameter of 15-20 cm, and plant 5-7 seedlings in each pot. It likes fertile, loose and well-drained sandy loam, and the substrate can be prepared with materials such as leaf mold soil, garden soil, chaff ash or coarse sand. Potted plants should be repotted every spring when the root system fills the pot.
